Overview — 01

Two category leaders who spent a decade fighting for the same guests decided the bigger opportunity was the one they could only reach together.

Pinnacle Hospitality and Acme Group had built parallel empires in premium events and venue management — overlapping in every major city, undercutting each other on rate, and quietly eroding the margins that made both businesses special. The race to the bottom was costing them the very guests they were trying to win.

Instead of one more discount war, the two teams sat down at a single table and designed a joint offering — one that packaged Pinnacle's guest experience with Acme's operational scale into something neither could have sold alone. This is the story of how that partnership came together, and what it unlocked.

The Challenge — 02

A decade of competing had quietly capped what either brand could achieve alone.

Before the partnership, three forces were working against both companies at once — and none of them could be solved from one side of the table.

01

The price war neither side was winning

Every competitive bid pulled rates lower. Margins that funded standout guest experiences were evaporating on both sides, quarter after quarter.

02

Duplicated cost on every front

Two sales teams, two supply chains, two tech stacks chasing the same accounts. Neither company had the scale to invest the way the market now demanded.

03

Guests wanted one seamless experience

Corporate clients no longer wanted to stitch together venues and services from rival vendors. They wanted a single partner who could deliver end to end.

We stopped asking how to beat each other, and started asking what only the two of us could build together. That single question rewired the entire relationship.

The Partnership — 03

How it came together, in three phases.

Phase 01

Sitting down at one table

Leadership from both companies met off-site with a single rule: no talk of market share. Over two days they mapped what each did best and where their strengths were genuinely complementary rather than competitive.

Phase 02

Designing a joint offering

A small joint team packaged Pinnacle’s guest experience with Acme’s operational scale into a single end-to-end product. Pricing, delivery, and accountability were built as one, not bolted together after the sale.

Phase 03

Taking it to market together

The combined offering launched across four global markets with a shared sales motion and one point of contact per client. Within two quarters it was outperforming everything either brand had run solo.
